Becker & Poliakoff, s.r.o., advokátní kancelář has operated on the Czech market since 1992. It is part of the international network of law firm Becker & Poliakoff, P.A. based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.
The parent company of Becker & Poliakoff, P.A. was founded in 1972 by two partners, Alan Becker and Gary Poliakoff. Becker & Poliakoff, P.A. currently has more than 150 lawyers worldwide.
Becker a Poliakoff, s.r.o., advokátní kancelář is also a member of an international network of independent law firms. Cooperation between the members of this organization allows us to provide legal services in another 40 countries around the world.
The Prague office has two partners. Both are registered in the list of lawyers maintained by the Czech Bar Association. In addition to the partners, there are other experienced lawyers, law clerks and legal assistants in the office, as well as administrative support staff.
Becker a Poliakoff, s.r.o., advokátní kancelář Prague primarily provides services in the areas of commercial, civil, construction, administrative, environmental law, international law, labour law and gambling and gaming law. It also provides technical assistance in the implementation of measures resulting from the new EU Regulation on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR).
On 5 February 2016, the Czech Bar Association was entrusted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic with out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes in the area of disputes between lawyers and consumers under contracts for the provision of legal services (under Act 634/1992 Coll. on Consumer Protection, as amended).
