Alan Steven Becker
He graduated from the Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1966, and from the School of Law at the University of Miami, where he was awarded the Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1969. His professional career began in the Office of the Attorney General, and through his work as an Assistant Public Defender. From 1972 to 1978 he was a State Representative in the Florida Legislature. He specializes in litigation, coordination of governmental relations as well as working on the international projects of the law firm Becker and Poliakoff, namely in the Czech Republic, the People's Republic of China and Latin America. He serves as Honorary Consul General for the Czech Republic for Florida. He has been a founding partner of the law firm Becker & Poliakoff, P.A. since 1972.
