The main topic of the meeting was the issue of artificial intelligence, robotics and blockchain. The main speakers of the conference were Professor Erik Vermeulen of Tilbourg University and Mgr. Alžběta Krausová, LLM from the Institute of State and Law at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
Expert on How AI Challenges Current Laws on Liability, Privacy, and Intellectual Property? Mgr. Elizabeth Kraus, LL.M and The Future of the Legal Profession under the Eye of Artificial Intelligence, Professor Eric Vermeulen, were among the more than 80 attorneys in the audience.
Our office will continue to deal with this issue, and with the leadership of Consulegis, it has agreed to place this topic on the upcoming meeting.
For the conference participants, our office has prepared a rich accompanying program, including, among other things, a solemn arrival in the Senate and a tour of the DOX Gallery of Modern Art. The conference ended with a solemn dinner at the Lobkowicz Palace in Prague Castle.

In the unique spaces of the DOX Gallery, our office celebrated our clients together with their clients and supporters of the 25 years of operation on the Czech market. We have also been honored to attend the celebration of the Consulegis conference in Prague, an association of independent law offices around the world, whose members have been our office for 15 years.

Weil, CHSH, and Becker & Poliakoff Advise on Unipetrol Acquisition of 68 OMV Filling Stations Featured
Weil, Gotshal & Manges has advised Unipetrol RPA on its acquisition of 68 filling stations in the Czech Republic from Austria’s OMV. CHSH and the Czech office of Becker & Poliakoff advised OMV on the transaction, which Weil reports "will significantly strengthen Unipetrol's position and expand its Benzina filling station network to over 400 stations.”
Completion of the transaction is subject to the fulfilment of certain pre-conditions, including obtaining the necessary approval by the antitrust authorities.
